My name is Steven Pearse and I am originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I am 40 years old, married to Chinese National and have a 7 year old son. Although new to Cambodia, I have spent the last 8 years living and working in Asia including 7 years in Mainland China, with the balance of time spent between HK and Thailand.
I started my career working in business management; holding both a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a MBA.
While traveling on business, I discovered that the Asian culture was an instant fit for me and decided to relocate full time to China.
In 2011 when the economy took a turn for the worse, I decided to try teaching ESL part time. Soon after, I realized my passion for education, teaching and training. Helping others has always been an integral part of my life and I am proud to have logged 1000’s of volunteer hours over the years in various capacities from community centres to hospitals.
Earlier this year I completed my 120H Advanced TESOL/TESL/TEFL training and received certification from TEFLON Training College, I also hold a previous certificate for 60H from Oxford Seminars.
