With the objectives of the government’s education programs to ensure its general education quality, Modern International School (M.I.S) contributes its efforts and commitments to upgrading and improving the programs to ensure a strong background of knowledge before the students enter the tertiary level of education.
M.I.S. follows the curriculum for general education from Kindergarten, Grade 1- to grade 12 which is developed by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS). The curriculum is designed for children who can choose half-day classes in this program, and one academic year lasts 3 terms. Classes are held at two shifts, morning 8:00 – 11:0am, afternoon 2:00 – 5:00pm, and from Monday to Friday. The student who graduated from Khmer general education programs can continue their studies in university. After graduating grade 12 and completing the English Programs at M.I.S, the students can get or apply the scholarship to study abroad because they can achieve at least an IELTS of 6.5.
Moreover, extra curriculum will be added for this program such as lab, computer study, study tour, sports, performing art, and music. This curriculum is to ensure that every child has not only a strong foundation in literacy, but also sciences and they can develop their health, physical appearance, moral understanding, learning skills and life skills.
